As we transition into another new season, I’m reminded of the rhythms of life that mark our journeys. In American culture, the period following the summer season — especially after Labor Day weekend and the start of a new school year — often feels like a fresh beginning. It’s a time when routines are
reestablished, and new opportunities arise.
With this sense of renewal, I am excited to share that we will celebrate Home-Coming Sunday on September 8th. This special day marks not just the start of a new season, but also a time for us to reach out to our friends—particularly those who once worshipped with us but, for various reasons, have not been able to attend. This is an opportunity to invite them back into our community, to worship together once again, and to support them in restoring their
relationship with God.
Our Home-Coming Sunday will be a wonderful celebration for all of us.
We will also be welcoming new members during the second service, making this day even more special. Following the service, we will gather for a potluck luncheon, sharing in fellowship and the joy of being united in Christ.
In preparation for this special celebration, I invite each of you to pray for the friends and loved ones you wish to invite. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to move their hearts and open them to our loving invitation. Through this precious
time and process, I believe we will experience the deep joy that the Psalmist speaks of in Psalm 133:1: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
May this Home-Coming Sunday be a time of renewed connections, joyful
worship, and strengthened community. I look forward to celebrating with you all and witnessing the beautiful work God will do among us.
Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Yohang Chun
