I’m writing this in the middle of September. We have just started a double prayer focus. I hope you are finding the “Remember the Future” devotional helpful and are praying each day for God to send the Holy Spirit on us and on the church. I am looking forward to seeing what God will do. I also pray you are “ALL IN” and being persistent in your prayers for those you have named who don’t know Jesus or aren’t actively involved in Christ’s body, the church. We need to keep praying every day for these concerns until ALL are IN Christ.
In addition to INterceding (praying) for the spirit to work in the hearts of your “unchurched” family member, neighbor, co-worker or classmate, and friends,
I trust that you are INvesting in your relationships with them. Spend time with them so they can know you as a genuine friend and see the way Christ is at work in your life. Then as the Spirit prompts (it could be tomorrow or a year from now) INvite them to church. If they say, “No,” then keep interceding, keep investing, and wait to see what the Spirit does. After all, Jesus said, “If you who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13)
