holy-weekAfter the long harsh winter, it’s wonderful to see signs of new life breaking out all over. I’m especially grateful for the new life we have through Christ’s death and resurrection. Easter is the celebration that all things can be made new. Since Jesus Christ is raised from the dead, he has power over everything that destroys life. In Christ dead relationships can find new life. In Christ those dead to sin can live apart from sin. In Christ those who have died physically will live forever. Christ is risen and that changes everything! Halleluiah!

To more fully experience the joy of Easter, I encourage you to participate in our special Holy Week services. On Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m. there will be service to commemorate Jesus’ last meal with his followers before his crucifixion. On Friday, April 3, there will be a prayer vigil in the chapel from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. You can sign up to come and pray for an hour during that time or you can just drop in for however long you wish. Also on Friday at  7 p.m. we will hold our Good Friday worship and hear again about Jesus’ suffering and death. (Child care will be provided at both 7 p.m. services.)

Then join us for the joyous celebration of Christ’s resurrection on Easter morning! Christ is risen! Halleluiah!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Anne
